My Way Swiss Rolls

Sorry guys (if anyone out there reading/following this, and no m not talking to you mom or my SIL or my MIL or my dear hubby) I havent been regular in posting any new things. I did baked a few cookies and cakes but just didnt get any time to take snaps or to write about it. Last few days were really chaotic, what with my 1 year old, Ira, having teething problems and my "almost 8", as she keeps reminding me, Saee, throwing pre-teen tantrums. Yeah I know "pre-teen" starts at 6 now.
Anyways when I baked a Swiss Roll (as requested by Miss Pre-teen), I thought I'll give it a bit of jazzyness to perk it (and me also). My Swiss Roll  or Roulade recipe is here. I cut the roulade pieces in individual serving sizes, with a 3" dia and 3"height, and then covered some in White chocolate ganache ( as I was having a bar of white chocolate in my pantry from quite some time, you can also use Dark chocolate ganache) and some with Strawberry Whipped Cream. Then put some chocolate lines around it and ta-da you are done. This makeover sure does agree with our old swiss roll.

Swiss Roll Recipe :

White Chocolate Ganache:
Ingredients:
300 grams white chocolate, coarsely chopped
100 grams low fat cream

Method:
In a small heavy bottom saucepan, heat the cream over medium heat, stirring it continuously, bring just to boil. Immediately pour it over the chocolate and allow to stand for a few minutes. Stir gently with a spoon or a whisk, we do not want to incorporate air in it.

Strawberry Whipped Cream Recipe:

Chocolate design:
Melted chocolate of your choice.
Simply pour the  melted chocolate in a piping bag and cut out a tiny point or you can use a nozzle also, and then do the design of your choice on a piece of parchment paper. Let it cool. To accelerate cooling you can also keep it in a refrigerator. After the chocolate hardens, transfer it on the cake by putting the chocolate side on cake and then take off the parchment paper.

How to Assemble:

Cut the Roulade into individual serving size, as per your wish, I cut it into 3" dia into 3" height, cover the sides with ganache or whipped cream and decorate with chocolate swirls or any design of your wish.
